Frequently Asked Questions

    • Main Lodge: Check-in at 3 p.m., check-out at 10 a.m.

    • Cottages & Hermitages: Check-in at 3 p.m., check-out at 12 p.m.

    If you would like to arrive before 3pm, you are welcome to explore the grounds and facilities until your room is ready. 

    Dinner will be the first meal included in your stay and your last meal is lunch on the day you check-out. Please let us know if you do not plan on staying for lunch on the day you check-out. 

  • Monday through Satuday, Breakfast is at 8:00 a.m., lunch is at 12:30 p.m. and dinner at 6:00 p.m.

    On Sundays, there is a continental breakfast at 8 a.m., brunch is at 10:45, and dinner at 6 p.m.

  • Our kitchen is able to accommodate the following dietary needs:

    • Vegan

    • Vegetarian

    • Dairy Free

    • Gluten Free

    • Nut Allergy

    • Shellfish Allergy

    We cannot guarantee that our kitchen will be able to accommodate anything that falls outside of these restrictions. If you are restricting a certain type of meat, please be open to eating the vegetarian option.

    We encourage you to bring any supplemental food that you might need during your stay. Our guest kitchen in the Main Lodge has a refrigerator and microwave. Hermitages and cottages have refrigerators, microwaves, and stoves.

  • Yes, there is a $30 charge per additional person each night of your retreat.

  • We provide towels, bed linens, shampoo and body wash. We recommend you bring anything else that would be helpful for you to rest and retreat well.

  • Yes, we have a few handicap-accessible rooms in the Main Lodge and Francis cottage. If you have any accessibility needs, please let us know when you make your reservation—we’re here to help. 

  • We have 34 rooms in total (main lodge, cottages, and hermitages) with a total of 54 beds.  Each room has a private bath.

  • Yes! Day Retreats are available from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The cost is $10 per person if coming as an individual, and $25 per person if coming with a group. Day retreats include lunch, coffee, tea, and full access to the property.

  • Although St. Francis was a lover of animals, we cannot welcome all animals here. Only trained Service Dogs that are required for a disability are allowed at the center. Upon registration, please let us know what work or task the dog has been trained to perform.

  • Yes, Mass is at 10:00am on Sundays in the indoor chapel. 

  • Yes, we have morning and evening prayer during the week at 8:35 AM & 8:35 PM, and evening prayer at 8:35 PM on the weekends. This time of prayer is led by a staff member or volunteer and will take a variety of forms. We welcome all of our guests to join us for prayer.

  • You do not; however if you would like to be in silence, we have a separate dining room for silent dining.

  • We do have Wi-Fi available in the main lodge and cottages, but the hermitages do not have wifi. We encourage you to unplug as much as possible while you’re staying here. 

  • Yes, the exterior doors of the Main Lodge are locked each evening at 10 p.m. and reopen at 7 a.m.
