MAIN LODGE
INDOOR CHAPEL
The Chapel is the spiritual and architectural heart of St. Francis Springs Prayer Center. Many of its unique design features lend to the sanctity of this beautiful space, including the vaulted ceilings, arched roof trusses, warm suspended light fixtures, large windows overlooking the woods, handcrafted tabernacle, and a large replica of the San Damiano cross. The Chapel is a sacred space that can be used both for private contemplation and communal worship.
THE GATHERING ROOM
The Gathering Room is at the center of the Main Lodge. Here you will find the coffee and tea station, our beautiful fireplace, and the Theological Library.
The Theological Library has over 2,000 books about St. Francis and St. Clare of Assisi, faith, religion, and spirituality for those seeking to broaden and deepen their spiritual understanding. From classic religious texts to contemporary works, this library offers a wide range of resources for guests to explore.
THE LIBRARY OF THE DISINHERITED.
The Library of the Disinherited is named after Howard Thurman’s book Jesus and the Disinherited, and is dedicated to the works of writers and thinkers who have been marginalized and excluded from society. With over 1,400 books, the Library of the Disinherited encompasses the Madonna Room, which houses African American authors, and the Friars’ Room, which houses a variety of African American, Native American, and women authors.

Our selection of books and merchandise is constantly changing and growing.
